Dr. Joseph Bonney is an energetic Emergency Medicine Specialist from Ghana. He trained in the local Emergency Medicine training program with the Ghana College of Physician and Surgeons, currently pursuing his fellowship program in Emergency Medicine with the same program.

Dr. Bonney holds a Masters in Public Health (Health Service Planning and Management) and has been involved in many research projects in Ghana and Sierra Leone. Dr. Bonney is a member of the Editorial Team of the Ghana Medical Journal and also the executive director is the Young Researchers’ Forum, a group dedicated to promote research in Ghana. He has a big interest in Pre-hospital and Disaster Medicine with and currently a Candidate from the European Masters of Disaster Medicine, CRIMEDIM, Italy and an Advanced Trauma and Life Support instructor.

He is also the Local Course Director of the Disaster Medicine Course with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology which has over the past year trained over 250 health workers in disaster medicine. Joe is a fun and focus leader, team player and wonderful photographer.
