Mr. Felix Nyante is the first Male Nurse to be appointed to the position of Registrar in August 2014 to present. Mr. Felix Nyante is the sixth (6th) Registrar of the Council since its establishment forty-two (42) years ago.His predecessors were all females.

He is a Fellow of the West African College of Nursing, holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration (GIMPA – Accra), Master of Arts Degree in Educational Administration (UCC – Cape Coast), Bachelor of Education (Health Sciences) (UCC – Cape Coast), Diploma in Nursing (UG – Legon) and is a State Registered Nurse (SRN). He has also done Tailor-Made-Training (TMT) programs on Nursing and Midwifery Regulation from the Universities of Maastricht and Leiden in the Netherlands and Mass Disaster Management from the Galilee Institute, Israel. He is currently a member of the Ministerial Advisory Board of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Ghana.Mr. Nyante has been involved in various research projects notably;

  • Migration trends of Ghanaian Nurses and Midwives
  • Midwifery Tutors’ Capacity and Willingness to Teach Contraception, Post-Abortion Care, and Legal Pregnancy Termination in Ghana
  • An Investigation into the Factors that Contribute to Nurse/Midwife Trainees’ Poor Performance on the Final Licensing Examinations in Ghana
  • Impact and sustainability of an accredited paediatric nursing training programme in Ghana
