Dr. Zhu received a Bachelor’s Degree in Xiang-Ya School of Medicine in Changsha, Hunan, China in December 1982 and a Master’s Degree in Peking Union Medical College in Beijing, China in July 1990. In March 2005, he was awarded a Doctor’s Degree in Hokkaido University School of Medicine, Sapporo, Japan.

He was also a visiting scholar in University of Washington School of Medicine in 1995 and Hokkaido University School of Medicine in 1996.
